Our client approached us with the desire for a quaint, timeless design paired with a pastel colour palette for her abode. The outcome was a flexible space for our lovely bachelorette to work, host and rest.

Our client opted for a minimal yet whimsical theme. The introduction of lush wallpapers and huge splashes of muted pastels throughout help to liven up the space. Additionally, the incorporation of the gorgeous botanical wallpaper mural in her bedroom and the purple tiles of the bathroom harmonises with the rest of her home.

Spatial Flexibility

Living on her own, our client wants flexibility in her house to allow the space to grow with her as the years go by. Therefore, we included a centralised social space with large living and dining areas, as well as the addition of her home office.

The splashes of yellow within the kitchen area create an inviting environment for constant usage throughout the day. Following the whimsical style, the leaf-patterned tiles for the counter backsplash act as a simple backdrop to tie the space together. The kitchen wall was also hacked for a half glass wall that extends visual connectivity to the living and dining areas.

Secret Tunnel

Our client values her privacy very much, which was a key consideration during our design phase. We proposed a concealed passageway leading into the resting quarters from the main gathering area. It allows for the apparent transition from the working to the resting spaces. Stepping into her bedroom enables our client to take her mind off work and recharge for the day.

Personalised office

The featured space in this abode is the home office. Our client chose to incorporate it into the living room as confined workspaces are one of her pet peeves! Having the liberty to live alone, she looks forward to working efficiently in her working quarters without any distractions.

Within the living space, we added a shelving unit that acts as a backdrop and serves as a conversation starter. Our client enjoys engaging in decorative styling to add a personal flair to the interiors, from the display of travel souvenirs to the colourful prints along the walls.

Our client went with a round dining table instead, allowing for space to create a cosy reading corner by the window
