Cat!

What do you do to relax?

In my free time, I like to sing and play with my cat, read suggested articles on Quora, nap and leave short replies to friends’ ig stories.

What’s top on your Bucket’s List?

Harry Potter Studio Tour in London

What does work mean to you?

Work is a responsibility, a duty, a challenge, a gift, an opportunity. Ideally, work allows me to help and add value to others while doing something meaningful that also allows me to grow as a person. Of course, preferably I'd get paid doing it.

Why do you do what you do?

“I have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself: ‘If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?’ And whenever the answer has been ‘No’ for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something.” - Steve Jobs. Heard that quote in my teens and it stuck with me. So basically, I do what I do cause it makes me happy & I find it fulfilling.

Petra, Jordan

Petra, Jordan

Where is your next travel destination?

Petra, Jordan. I kinda just realised that that cool, ancient looking doorway on a rocky mountain in one of the Transformers movie actually has religious significance. Pretty cool. Would definitely want to see it in real life.

If you have unlimited resources, which world problem would you wrestle with?

Helping people have good self-esteem & confidence and to care about others. I feel that humans have a lot of potential to contribute, do good, be good and create something beneficial for the each other. Fear, doubts, insecurities, lack of social skills & leadership stop us from doing so.

What's a good film/series/book/podcast to recommend?

Harry Potter series. Still get excited seeing the books on people’s bookshelf. Trying to convince my nieces to read & watch the movies.
Podcast: Jay Shetty’s. One of my fav. It’s good for your soul. Go listen.

If you could only eat this for the rest of your life- what would it be?

Eggs. Carbs+protein+fat, easy to cook, so many ways to eat/cook them.

Why is good design important to you ?

So that you'd feel a sense of belonging, sense of familiarity, sense of ownership. And also, so that it helps the user to live more efficiently or/and have a more fulfilling experience while using or being in them.

Describe the best experience that comes to mind

Was on a school exchange program in Cagayan, Philippines. It was pouring rain one evening while we were in the university. The flood was up to our knees. Had to walk on lines of furniture, bottle racks to get to a safe place aka the canteen before being rescued by a Professor in his jeep. Not sure if it’s “best experience” per se, but definitely one I’d never forget. Felt like I was in a video game or a movie.
