What is design to you?
Design is more than just the aesthetic and functionality, design plays an important roll in identifying one’s identity, culture and traditions of their country. With different design style that have been created and imprinted around the world, there’s always something new to discover and learn from, twirking the perspective of one’s mind and the way of how he or she sees design as a whole. Leading them to being engross in creating a more diversified environment where one could learn, live, and grow in different parts of the world.
Who inspires you in design?
Kate Albrecht, was the first YouTuber that led and inspired me to design through her bold and interesting way of using colours to execute spaces for clients within the budget. However, throughout time, as social media gets more advanced, many artist displayed there works that wowed and influenced me to go deeper into designing.
What would be a dream project to work on?
Doing up China’s International projects would be one of my outmost desired works that I am looking forward too. Seeing how those materials were being well used and diversified by designers of different provinces in China, it always makes me reflect on the elements that I would input within the space. Although I am still practicing and learning from it, from time to time, I would question myself on whether are the materials used applicable for the styles that the clients want, and would it bring out the exact atmosphere within the space. The way of how China’s design its architecture and interior is admirable as it is simple, elegant, and unique and I truly love to work with those projects and people of the same passion as me one day.
