What is design to you?
Many people have different ideation of what design is to them. To me, design is how I can mould forms to cater for functionality and the characteristics of the intended user. It’s not just about creating something new each day but, how can we push these design boundaries further. Such as challenging assumptions, blending disciplines and reimagining everyday interactions.
Who inspires you in design?
I’ve always been inspired by Yayoi Kusama’s art and her as an artist. Not forgetting Mr Issey Miyake himself as well. They have inspired me in creating different forms of art and design and how it could be implemented on a daily basis.
What would be a dream project to work on?
Maybe a home that breathes art and movement, where form meets function with a poetic twist. Layering textures and interacting pleats and folds as structures. It sounds like creating an exhibition space in a small apartment.
